Post what you need.
Post what you can give.
No middleman.
Just people.
Prema is the Sanskrit word for unconditional love — the love between neighbors. The grocery run. The ride to the doctor. The hour of your time given to someone who needs it. It has always been more powerful than capital. This is where it lives.
In-person help in your community.
The working class has always organized. Here are the groups you can join, support, or organize with.
Prema is the Sanskrit word for unconditional love — the love between people who take care of each other. Not romantic love. Not grand political love. The love of someone making you food because you're too exhausted to cook. The love of a ride to the doctor. The love of an hour of your time given freely to a neighbor you barely know but would never let go without help.
That love has always existed. It has always been more powerful than capital. This tool exists to give it a place to live.
Tell the community what you need — food, a ride, a skill, a conversation. No judgment. No means test. You need it and someone here might have it.
Tell the community what you can give — time, skill, labor, care. What you're actually good at, offered directly to the people who need it with no one taking a cut.
See a need you can meet? A skill you need? Reach out directly. No algorithm deciding who sees what. No profit motive in the middle of every human exchange.
Organizations — unions, mutual aid groups, community orgs — can list themselves here. Find groups doing the work near you, or online globally.
Free to use. Always. Browse without an account. You'll need to create a free account to post or respond — just a name and email, nothing else.
Local posts are for in-person help in your area. Global posts are for remote help — skills, advice, code, writing, anything you can give from anywhere.
No one profits from this. No ads. No data sold. No investor class sitting in the middle of your community taking their cut.
Organizations can add themselves to the directory and use Prema to connect with volunteers and people who need their services.
Prema is built and maintained by The Red Party — a political party founded on the belief that love is more powerful than capital. The tool exists to prove that point. Every need met, every ability given, every connection made on Prema is evidence that people taking care of each other works — and works better than any profit motive ever could.
You don't need to be a member of The Red Party to use Prema. You don't need to agree with anything politically. You just need to believe that the person asking for help deserves it.
